How much does it cost to migrate?

You can migrate without spending a dime! We believe that you should be able to migrate without worrying about additional costs and that is why we offer this service free of charge. See full Terms & Conditions.

What are the app fees in Bold Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout?

Our current fee structure for Bold Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout is $49.99 plus 1% transaction fee on subscription revenue. For stores over $1 million in annual subscription revenue, custom quotes are available.


Additionally, because Bold Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout leverages Shopify’s checkout, all sales (including existing subscription orders, and new subscription orders) will flow through Shopify and therefore is subject to fees as outlined on your Shopify plan. More specific info can be found in the admin on your agreement.

What are the payment gateways you support?

The following payment gateways are supported for subscriptions:

Is it possible to migrate if you’re not a technical person?

Absolutely! You do not need any technical expertise to migrate between V1 and V2. Our team will handle the majority of the work and all of the technical (non-custom) work. In fact, the only things our team cannot do are the things that only a merchant has permission to do. These steps are:

  • Install Bold Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout
  • Add the widget to your theme
  • Setup your subscription group(s) with discounts & frequencies
  • Setup your payment gateway
  • And lastly, test the app to make sure it’s working as expected

After that, our team can review the setup, and when everything is ready to go, you’ll be asked to make your new theme live in your store. We have step by step instructions and videos to the steps above outlined here.

Some shops may want to introduce custom widgets or changes to their theme. In those instances, Bold may recommend an agency or partner to complete those customizations.

What do my customers have to do after the migration?

Existing active subscribers will not be required to do anything before, during or after the migration unless you are introducing a change to your settings or subscription offering.
