<video:description>Post Purchase one-click Upsells after checkout are one of the best ways to increase the size of every order! We see 20-30% conversion on these offers. The reason is simple. The customer just placed an order from you, they trust you, they're excited, and best of all they don't even need to go through checkout again! It's one click and it's added it to the order they just placed!

If the customer doesn't add the upsell after checkout, after 5 minutes the order is created in your Shopify admin just like normal

You can turn upsells after checkout on in less than 60 seconds! Get started with Post Purchase Upsells and try Bold Upsell for free here: https://shopify.pxf.io/KjB5oa</video:description>

<video:title>Upsell Donations on Shopify - How to accept Donations on Shopify</video:title>
<video:description>Did you know if you accept donations of $20 or less from customers when they checkout, you get the tax receipt? Upselling a donation on Shopify is a GREAT way to align your brand with a cause, create customer loyalty, and get a really nice tax write-off at the end of the year!

Accepting donations on Shopify is easy! Simply create a product that will be your donation product. Set the variants at the amounts you want to accept ($2, $5, $10 etc). Ideally keep them all under $20 so you don't have to issue tax receipts and instead you get the tax credit.

Then at the end of the year, simply run a report on sales for that product, and that's what you need to donate! Easy peasy!

Tip #2: Subscription Upsells
This holiday season, make sure to turn on Subscription Upsells and you can expect to turn roughly 6% more one-time buyers into subscribers!

When a customer adds a product to their cart as a one-time purchase, show them an upsell offer to upgrade to a subscription and save! It's the perfect spot to remind them how much they save by subscribing, that they can cancel, edit, skip, or pause anytime, and any other benefits or perks that come with a subscription.

Tip #4: Subscription Promo Packs
You're spending a ton of ad dollars, time and energy to get customers to your store this holiday season, so it's in your best interest to do everything possible to get them to convert. The shops using Bold Subscriptions that see the best conversion offer an amazing package month one that then converts into the regular subscription ongoing.

Setting this up is easy with the new Convertible Subscriptions Maximizer™. Convertible Subscriptions is a feature that automatically switches the products in a subscription after the first shipment. It's great for things like "subscribe to the scent diffuser, and then just get the scents every month after". But it's also great for promotional events like Black Friday.

<video:description>Take your Black Friday/Cyber Monday to the max by turning your one-time shoppers into year long-subscribers.

Tip #5: Optimize for Success
The simple convenience of a subscription is not a differentiator. A lot of stores offer subscriptions. You need to convey why your subscription, or better put, your “membership”, is so much better than the rest. List all the benefits clearly.

Don't trust that customers will understand how your subscription discounts work. Make it large and obvious on your product pages: "SAVE 50% YOUR FIRST MONTH!"

At the end of the day, the only true value is perceived value, so make sure your customers understand what they're getting, what they're saving, just how amazing and exclusive your offer is, and why you're better than anyone else!

But one thing that hadn’t changed or evolved much over the years, until now, was the look and feel of our brand. And while our core values haven’t changed, who we serve and what we offer has evolved. So we’ve refreshed our brand to better reflect what we’re all about: making checkout better.</video:description>

<video:title>Gift Subscriptions on Shopify with New Govalo + Bold Subscriptions Integration</video:title>
<video:description>Now you can offer seamless GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS on Shopify with the new Govalo + Bold integration. All details here: https://blog.boldcommerce.com/gift-subscriptions-on-shopify-with-govalo-and-bold-subscriptions

There's only one thing better than buying a subscription you absolutely love, it's buying one for a friend! If you use Bold Subscriptions V2 and the new Govalo integration, now all your customers can enjoy buying gift subscriptions too!

Govalo is a leading gifting app for Shopify and they've just completed an integration with Bold Subscriptions that allows seamless subscription gifting, and fully automates the process! It's a brand new integration and if you're interested in selling gift subscriptions, you can request early access here: https://blog.boldcommerce.com/gift-subscriptions-on-shopify-with-govalo-and-bold-subscriptions

When customers purchase a gift subscription they select how many months it should be for (3, 6, 12, etc) and if they'd like to include any special message. From there, Govalo automatically sends a gift email letting the recipient know they've just been gifted a subscription the same day, or on a specified date (birthday or holiday). The recipient then can then activate their gift subscription when they're ready!

The recipient enters their own address and manages the subscription as though it was their own, the only difference being it's free for the period of time that was gifted to them.

What's best of all? When the gifted period runs out, the recipient can keep the subscription recurring but billed to their own credit card. Which is exactly what you want in the end, another subscriber 🙌</video:description>

         <video:title>Become a curation sensation with a curated subscription box</video:title>
<video:description>Curated subscription boxes are full of carefully selected items that appeal to an audience with specific interests, lifestyles, or values. While some of these items may be available elsewhere, it’s the act of bringing them together for a unique experience that attracts subscribers.

For most businesses that offer this type of subscription, like Birchbox or Loot Crate, the box is their core offering, but it can also be combined with elements of other subscription models to help you create a one-of-a-kind service.

         <video:description>Full episodes here: https://boldcommerce.com/podcast

Commercetools is taking a fascinating approach to enabling digital commerce. They are referred to as a true cloud, headless commerce platform, providing the building blocks for the new digital commerce age. Those building blocks are 350 consumable APIs that let you build anything commerce experience you want!

Fun fact, they coined the term "headless commerce" in 2013, long before it was as popular as it is today.

Examples of brands that use Commerce tools are Audi, Tiffany & Co, Universal Music, Carhartt, and many more. Plus mutual brands with Bold such as Harry Rosen who leverages their suite of api's with Bold Checkout and other technologies to really create something special. Shameless plug, but definitely check out HarryRosen.com when you have a chance.

It's a fascinating conversation that I think everyone will learn something from. Enjoy!

Some of the topics we discuss are:
What exactly is Headless Commerce and why should brands consider it.
How did Headless Commerce start, evolve, and where is it today
Definition of the MACH alliance (Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless.)
What is Composable Commerce?
What types of customers use commercetools and why?
Who are competitors to commercetools, and what would make commercetools different/better?
For you to say commercetools has won, or achieved its goal, what needs to happen
What are the biggest trends Kelly is excited about in commerce

Discover how Simon Rodrigue recently led Staples through a complete digital transformation in a fraction of time (and cost) using a best-in-breed “modular“ approach to ecommerce.

With over 300 retail locations, and a plethora of services (print, wholesale, school etc), plus managing unique pricing for the Staples Preferred program, syncing an ecommerce solution between it all that ties in seamlessly, managing pricing, curb-side pickup, and other aspects was no small feat!

Simon is someone who understands ecommerce like very few. Staples is evolving, and so is their digital presence. This episode gives a glimpse into how they think about ecommerce, their approach to solving it, and how this sets them up for success in the future.

The best thing about Simon and Staples, is they really are just getting started!

Some of the topics we discuss are:
Build vs Buy and how Staples thinks about solving complex ecommerce requirements.
How has the pandemic affected Staples and lessons they've learned adapting.
How their ecommerce tech-stack allows them agility and flexibility never before possible.
What it was like launching a digital solution for curbside pickup across 300+ stores in under 72hours
How Stapes de-risked the move from their legacy systems to their new modular (best of breed), approach.</video:description>

         <video:description>View all episodes & subscribe here: https://boldcommerce.com/podcast

Even though many stores count on their email list to drive sales and traffic, they probably put more time and money into social media ads than actively collecting email addresses. But if somebody visits their site and doesn’t buy anything or leave their email, they potentially wasted the money they spent getting them there in the first place.

Today, Privy co-founder and CEO Ben Jabbawy tells us about how he helps brands actively grow and leverage their list with simple but creative tactics for email gathering. Today, over 500,000 stores use Privy’s pop-ups and other software to gather emails and build money-making relationships with their audience. No matter how big you are, you could always do more to get emails from more people who visit your store. Give it a listen to learn how!

Some of the topics we discuss are:
- The importance of growing your email list
- Using tool with the same level as sophistication Facebook or Google uses for ad retargeting to collect emails or prevent cart abandonment
- What's the difference between checkout abandonment and cart abandonment and why does it matter?
- Better ways to collect emails than the standard "here's 10% off" offer.
- There's so much more you can do with the emails you collect! Running ads against them on Facebook being a big one.
- Creative ways to connect with and convert your audience with emails and popups.</video:description>

OWN YOUR COMMERCE EPISODE 1: PATRICK CAMPBELL

Growth is more revenue, not more customers. Yet, out of every 10 blog posts on growth, 7 are focused on acquisition, 2 are centred on retention, and only one is about pricing.

Patrick Campbell, Profitwell founder and CEO, joins us to discuss some of the metrics every ecommerce store owner should be calculating, should understand, and should monitor to understand revenue.

What is value based pricing? How do you calculate the LTV (LifeTime Value) of your customers? Why do people still calculate churn wrong? These are all things ecommerce merchants should be intimately familiar with, even more so if you run a subscription ecommerce business.

TOPICS DISCUSSED
- What is value based pricing, and how should ecommerce merchants think about it?
- How should you calculate churn and LTV?
- Why do customers really churn, or cancel subscriptions?
- Free trials, try before you buy, freemium, annual vs monthly billing... How does a store decide the best approach to all these options?</video:description>
