Ecommerce Technology Company’s Headless Checkout Named in Two of the Independent Research Firm’s 2022 Reports

AUSTIN, Texas & WINNIPEG, Manitoba

Bold Commerce, the ecommerce technology company that powers checkout and subscription experiences for the world’s leading retailers and emerging DTC brands, today announced its inclusion in two 2022 Forrester Now Tech reports. Forrester’s Now Tech: B2B Commerce Solutions, Q1 2022 and Now Tech: B2C Commerce Solutions, Q1 2022 reports provide an overview for commerce solutions for business leaders. Bold was named in both reports.

Forrester reviewed 34 B2B and 23 B2C Commerce Solutions Providers for its respective Now Tech Reports. Vendors vary by size, vertical market focus, and geographic alignment. The resulting reports give business professionals a guide to understanding the value they can expect from B2B and B2C commerce solutions providers.

Both B2B and B2C commerce solutions are focused on digitizing the buying and selling process. B2B solutions prioritize convenient engagement for business buyers, while uncovering valuable customer insights to personalize the buying experience. B2C solutions optimize the path to purchase for consumers and focus on increasing efficiency for commerce practitioners.

Bold Commerce’s headless checkout framework is flexible for both business and consumer-focused commerce brands. Brands that use Bold Checkout can completely customize the functionality and experience of their checkout to reduce points of friction and drive increased conversion. This is particularly critical given that nearly half (48%) of shoppers that start the checkout process drop off before completing their purchase, according to The Checkout Benchmark.

Bold Commerce’s checkout has been used to unify B2B and B2C business opportunities for a single brand, such is the case with Staples Canada. Bold powers checkout, pricing and promotions for the full enterprise, serving retail and wholesale customers with a single checkout solution. This means Staples Canada can serve up regional pricing based on location, account- specific wholesale pricing, and stacked discounts or flash sale promotions for online and in-store shoppers, all from one checkout instance.

“Checkout is more than where payment happens–it’s where shoppers become lifelong customers. Retailers need the flexibility to build a checkout experience tailored to the needs of the businesses and its evolving customers in order to drive increased conversion,” said Deanna Traa, Chief Marketing Officer, Bold Commerce. “Our inclusion in the B2B and B2C Now Tech reports is a reflection of how Bold’s Checkout Experience Suite can help both B2B and B2C enterprises grow revenue with advanced checkout, subscriptions and pricing capabilities.”

Bold Commerce currently works with more than 90,000 brands in over 170 countries. Its modular suite of checkout, subscriptions and price rules solutions extend ecommerce platform capabilities to improve conversion and grow revenue for leading B2B and B2C retailers like Staples Canada, Vera Bradley, Harry Rosen, Pepsi’s Mountain Dew and Mars Petcare.

Bold Commerce was previously included in the Forrester “Now Tech: Recurring B2C SaaS Billing Management Solutions, Q3 2021.”
